Education Guardian Times Educational Supplement BYTEachers Maintained by The Association of Teachers’ websites, this online resource provides access to teaching and learning materials for free. Clickteaching A subscription based resource aimed at primary teachers for the cost of a small subscription you receive access to thousands of items of digital and interactive media. Subscriptions range from £2.95 monthly or £16.95 annual. Primary Resources This site is founded and managed by Gareth Pitchford, who worked as an ICT Consultant for the Dingle Granby Toxteth Education Action Zone in Liverpool. The site contains a bank of free, ready to use ideas, resources, worksheets and lesson plans. They're available for you to use with your class at no cost whatsoever (except the cost of your connection to the Internet!). Department for Education and Skills The Dfes is a Government Department whose aim is to give children an excellent start in education, enable young people to equip themselves with life and work skills, and encourage adults to achieve their full potential through learning. The site offers a wide range of information for teachers, parents, and governers. Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) The Office of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in England. The office is independent from the DfES and carries the responsibility to improve standards of achievement and quality of education through regular independent inspection of educational establishments. British Educational Research Association Provides members with details of events, publications and other services.
